I’ve experienced a new personal record cold temperature of -28°F (Feb. 2, 2011). The previous record was-26°F set in February 1989.
Fortunately, there is no wind.
I guess I’m somewhat lucky in that I’ve been sick with the cold/flu and haven’t left the house in a couple of days. But, I think if given the choice, I’d rather be healthy.
Today is Imbolc (aka Groundhog Day), the mid-point between the solstice and the equinox. The days are getting longer and this makes me very happy!
The worst I remember was a minus sixty-five windchill when we were moving across Kansas when I was seventeen. I don’t recall the actual temperature at the time.
I’ve never kept track of windchill.
keep warm!!! We have snow and ice here too. brrrr!!
It’s warmed up to +25 now, which feel almost balmy. 🙂
*warm hugs*
That is cold! Hope you feel better soon.
*hugs*
Although the temperatures have warmed up, I’m still fighting off this crud. 🙁
