This morning I got up early and decided to photograph Boulder Falls before all the tourists got there.
Given the terrain of the east slopes of the Rocky Mountains, I’d think there would be larger and more numerous waterfalls. Although the terrain is steep, there aren’t many cliffs that have water running over them.

I went out Saturday in search of flowing water. At this time of year, it’s not hard to find.

I like to use long exposure times to convey a sense of motion with the water. The first few photos are all of the same stream, but different points along the way.
It was a unique morning on the reservoir. The res was right at the elevation of the clouds, so there was fog, ice, mist, sun. I think over the course of 3 hours I took over 140 photos. The light was amazing. More photos to come.
